Leonard. George is an elite defender, but not like Leonard. Kawhi is the best defender in the NBA and one of the best defenders in NBA history.
I like George more as a player, he has always been one of my 4/5 favourite players since he has been in the league, but i agree with the guys above, Kawhi is (a bit) better overall.
Kawhi is the superior player, but I'm taking PG13 because I know what I'd be getting; Kawhi's SA drama still makes me concerned.
Both forced their way out, but man, that last season with the Spurs. WTF Kawhi. You're playing for one of the most well respected organization and sat out the whole season while getting paid.
I'm going to change my vote actually, i think Kawhi is better but yeah, after what happened last season i'd take George on my team over him.
I like PG and still lament OKC getting him instead of us. (**** Ryan Anderson). But I think some of guys are forgetting how much of a dud PG can be in the playoffs. Kawhi is clutch. Clutch on offense. Clutch on defense. PG is very good but Kawhi is a freak of nature (his laugh included). PG would be a very good 2nd fiddle and an incredible 3rd fiddle on the Rockets. OTOH, Kawhi would compete with Harden as the best player on this team. Kawhi with the green light in Mike's offense = lethal.
Is the question who would I pick to be on this Rockets team, or who would I pick if starting my team from scratch? If it’s for the Rockets then PG, if it’s from scratch then Kawhi. the only reason why my answer isn’t “Kawhi easily” is because Kawhi has missed like 35% of the season after playing in only 9 games last season...Idk how long this “load management” stuff will have to go on for Is he capable of playing a full season? still, Kawhi is the better player, I don’t even think it’s debateable PG is too inconsistent...he can go through significant stretches of the season where his shooting percentages tank
Kawhi is the superior talent, no question. But what he did last year and sitting out games this year, I lost some respect for him. Paul George goes out and lets his play do the talking. He seems to be the more quiet, no drama type of guy. The drama Kawhi had last year was unreal. I would take Paul George. He seems to be the guy people would rally around and go to war with. I honestly believe he would have been the perfect SF next to Harden. Great all around player, can definitely knock down open shots, and plays amazing defense. Also respect the heck out of him for staying in OKC and not bailing out to LA or some other big market like the dumb media pundits were gunning for.
Paul George!! He’s half of the Beatles for goodness sake!! Spoiler: You know you want to click... ....... ....... .......
