Does not following "blanket prejudice" involve closing your eyes and not considering if a certain religion has a serious human rights and violence issue currently?

Sometimes I wish the Muslims had ONE equivalent of a pope, someone who was regarded as the highest authority by everyone and could just say:

    - no 72 virgins if you kill an infidel
    - women have equal rights
    - death penalty for apostasy or for gays is bs
    - women are allowed to laugh and don't have to cover head to toe
    - etc.

Because people need to learn from how Christianity evolved to see how they can make Muslims evolve.

Why did Christianity go from the world's most violent and murderous religion to what it is today? At a time when Islam was leading the charge in scientific discovery and trade.

Because of money. Economic domination helped elevate Christianity to something more civil.

And that is what is needed with Islam.

Islam was not leading the charge in scientific discovery. Secular individuals who happen to be labeled Muslim did.

Calling them secular is pure revisionism.

Nothing of the Islamic faith or the text of the Quran was responsible in any scientific advancement in the region.

Its the same logical leap that Christians employ when they state that the U.S. Constitution was inspired by Christian ideology. No. A group of men that happen to be Christian created the Constitution.

How does that negate my point that calling them secular is pure revisionism? The vast majority of the known philosophers and scientists during this era were polymaths who had extensive knowledge on theology (and wrong numerous books on it as well).
