Kelly's defense to Pierce's tweet is extremely weak. So his "defense" is that he just stole from Chinese sources without checking their accuracy?

 

Isn't he the same guy that said in the press that Brandon Jennings told him he did not get paid in Italy and then like the next day Jennings was telling the press he never said that and never even talked to the guy and he just completely made it up?

Or do I have him mixed up with someone else? I am pretty sure it was one of the Yahoo writers that did that.

It's weird, I remember KD used to be a pretty awesome poster with good insights, but since starting BDL, his writing has gradually devolved to absolute sh-t. I mean, not just misprinted facts and sources, but the prose and flow too.

 

Oh, come off it. I quoted a Chinese paper that was run through the most prominent English-language Chinese basketball and NIU site on the net, a blog that has broken story after story over the last year or so (while remaining dubious about all sorts of stories that came true -- like the Kobe to China BS), and added my own caveats about how we couldn't be sure about the story, and probably never would be.

(Even after Pierce Tweeted that he didn't sit out a game, when all sorts of sources say he did, because of breathing issues.

Even when you consider that he and Beasley were over there to sell shoes. So, like, they're going to come clean on this? Right.)

Did any of you bother to read the post? Or are you just bouncing around on a message board? I would think your level of literacy would at least top a pro basketball player's.

 

Huh? The only time I've ever met or talked to Jennings was at a Bucks playoff game in 2010.
