    Found this on slickdeals.net...

It's on the front page of 24 Hour Fitness. One day only, on Thursday March 13, 2008.

There is a $24 initiation fee, and the deal is for new members only. After that, $24 per month, for as long as you continue to pay.

Regular Retail Price is $44/month with $24 initial fee and $80 processing.

There is no contract, and you can leave anytime, but the initial fee is non refundable.

I'm curious, If I sign up for a membership that is only for one location, do they care if I go to other locations? I'm sure they do but do they actually enforce it? Will they stop me at the door or do they not check like that?

Yeah I know. I have a membership that only let's me go to one location (cheapest) and was wondering if their employees wouldn't mind if I went to other locations.

Restrictions say no super-sport or ultra-sport but then when you go through the application it lets you choose it.

So what if you already have a membership? Can you call and cancel your current one and then sign up for this one?

That deal is offered all day every day.. you just have to ask for it.. a gym membership is like buying a car, everything is negotiable.

Is this true? I have to renew a membership. Probably going with 24 again since it seems to be one of the few big gyms with a basketball court. If I ask for this deal I have a shot of getting it?

What a coincidence I just called LA Fitness to ask for their rates. Its $50 down and $29 a month there.

What do you guys think? I could go to either one where I live.

    Pro's and Cons?
