A lot of learning can be done between now and game one. BTG is not a Watson fan so he'll say all types of crazy stuff. Watson will be ready game 1. He probably won't play until later in the season though.
Would rather have Maclin, better hands and faster for a slot option, but I would take either as some insurance.
Hasn't Decker been better than Maclin nearly their entire careers? Only concern with Decker for me is that he just had hip surgery? That's alarming. He'd definitely upgrade the Texans Wives Club though.
I mean Decker had Peyton Manning and Demaryus Thomas taking attention away as well as Fitzy the gunslinger (comparatively) whereas Maclin had Vick and Alex Smith? Maclin had a top tier catch rate with very few drops. And I think if he stayed with Eagles he would have been better, Alex Smith is kryptonite for receivers. 100% agree on the wives club tho.
I don't think care what players say anymore when it comes to contract negotiations. They go where the money goes...so nothing to see here.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...jecting-compensatory-picks-for-2018-nfl-draft Projected Compensatory Picks Spoiler Texans Projected compensatory picks: Three -- Round 3 / Two picks in Round 6 Key free-agent losses: A.J. Bouye (Jaguars), Quintin Demps (Bears), John Simon (Colts) Key free-agent additions: None Skinny: The loss of Bouye should result in a third-round compensatory pick for the Texans, while the losses of Demps and Simon should bring sixth-rounders based on their salaries and expected usage.
Reading great things in saints camp about AD. Still wanted to sign him on the cheap like they did, especially with all the cap room we have.
Third plus the IR. The IR year was the mishandling we did. You can still learn while on IR, and that's all he was doing as is.
They have four of the five WR already set in Hopkins, Fuller, Strong and Miller - with 6 other WRs on the roster at OTAs. The 3rd TE Anderson can also play receiver if needed... they are set at WR.
