I can definitely see this happening. Wouldn't it be awesome if Keenum just said **** Kubiaks plan in the 2nd half and threw the ball deep and came back and won the game?

Actually probably not, Kubiak would still bench him for "not following the game plan." Smh

Source: McClain saw an image of Keenum burned into a pancake he ate this morning.

Pancakes doesn't know his ass from his face, much less what the Texans are going to do Sunday.

Give the fans what they are calling for. If he flops then at least we're not left thinking what if....

I don't think this is best for Keenum's career long term...starting for a reeling team @ Arrowhead during his first season on the squad....If matt didn't implode Case would have been groomed to get a shot in 2015

QBs aren't groomed like that anymore.

If you have the luxury of competing with a vet. then sure you can use that approach. See Aaron Rodgers & Kaper (2nd year)

Exactly. That fat sack of crap just said that the reason Schaub can't throw deep is because we don't have receivers with speed to get down the field...Maybe we should sign one of these guys:

    [IMG] 4.2 40y.d
[IMG] 4.52 40y.d (well not so much him but y'all get the point). Its not the receivers fat boy, next time be subtle with the talking points Gary gives you

Kaep starting would be like Keenum starting on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers was the last groomed QB, and only because he had a HOF QB in front of him. Schaub ain't that.

Keenum against the Chiefs at Arrowhead. Tough game to start.

Then again, I think the Chiefs are a tad bit overrated.

That is expected. It has to take 3 guys to stop Watt. The RB also moved Reed about 5 yards back also lol

Sharpton and Mitchell are most to blame on that play. Once Watt occupied 2 or 3 guys, those two were each 1-on-1 in the backfield and neither could make a play.

Wow, if Keenum starts...it at least gives the fans something to look forward too. If we lose, hey it was the cheifs and Keenum in his first ever start. Might start winning some fans back. It couldn't hurt...

In Sharpton's defense, 77 tackled him.

Joe Mays, Danieal Manning, and Daryl Sharpton were atrocious on that play. In fact, they were atrocious for pretty much the entire game. Our inside linebacking corps (outside of Cushing of course) has to be among one of the weakest units in the NFL.

Sure, but if Mitchell doesn't get pushed off his block so easily, that never happens. This defense needs a space-eating NT in the worst kind of way. These smaller, more "agile" guys that Wade likes in the interior line aren't getting it done on those inside runs. If Watt, Smith, or Cushing aren't cutting through into the backfield, those inside run plays almost always go for 4-5 yards if not more. Our safeties simply aren't good at playing the run, and any linebacker not named Cushing is basically J.A.G. out there right now.

That GIF is pretty damning of our defense. Manning gave no effort, Sharpton and Mitchell lost battles, and Ed Reed didn't attempt to punish the RB at all but rather just absorbed the contact. I don't need a Pollard back there trying to take heads off but damn, at least put a little more effort into that tackle.

I really think you're being too hard on Coach Reed.

Kubiak doing his best to show the world that, if healthy, Schaub is the clear cut #1.
