Neither is trading for a franchise left tackle 8 days before your season opener. They're trying to find the best fit because their entire dynamic was seismically changed. Also, practices and evaluations don't end Aug. 31. If, as they continue to evolve and progress, the results are optimal, why bother griping about changes? That seems.... silly.
Lonnie Johnson is going to be good, potentially really good. Might not happen this season but he has been competitive and has the size/speed necessary to be a solid boundary corner.
Right?! It just amazes me people can watch *that* game - or even the Saints' game, which, outcome aside, was also fun - and spend the aftermath combing through the crumbs to find some morsel of negativity. Deshaun Watson is awesome. We're lucky to have him.
You're making my point. It is not normal to make this change so soon to the beginning of the regular season. Offensive lines need to gel and it has been documented that offensive linemen work better when they know where they are going to play. If you're changing starters in the 1st three weeks of the season, that is not normal. My gripe, that you're griping about, was in response to PFF saying the two rookies performed poorly yesterday. They are the two guys that are playing different positions for the first time in there professional career. Of course they did.
I made one "negative" comment about the o-line changes and I've had to answer to 3 of the positivity police since then. If you read every thing else I wrote you'd see that I did enjoy the win.
Hard to complain about that win. Not much of billy o bs in the game. I thought it was a pretty good gameplan. And they're playing to deshaun's strengths instead of forcing him into what billys vision of QB should be in this offense.
The saint game BoB's offense in the second half was hot garbage. coupled with prevent defense made the ending quite frustrating to watch. the chargers game was a beauty to watch.
