Agreed. They are not built to play from behind. Awful passing game, suspect/borderline awful run defense.

If they play a defense like they did yesterday, it won't matter. Bortles was balling.

You are right in a sense that I'm very concerned about the Jax team that shows up every odd week of the NFL. What I'm not concerned at all about is the Jax team that shows up every even week. Until they show consistency, I don't think we'll need to run the table to win the division. In any case, I'm happy we aren't just going to be labeled the king of sht mountain for a 3rd year in a row. A division battle should be fun.

Is there a reason we didn't call Freeney in? I mean I know he's old, but it's just one year. Hope Bennett is out against us, that defense is the only thing that scares me.. And trying to contain Russel with no Cole.

Cliff Avril won’t play. He’s on IR. Might be career ending

OLD....would not fit a 3-4 system (Freeney is a 4-3 DE and would not fit as a 34 OLB or DE.).

Clowney is basically 6’6’’ 270lb. Freeney is 6’1’’ 268lb and is 37 years old. Size is a huge is issue. U cant just plug in a player into a position who doesn’t fit. Clowney is a freak. Freeney wouldnt last very long having to play inside against guards and tackles inside.

The Texans signed veteran linebacker Jelani Jenkins following a successful tryout.

Rookie linebacker Dylan Cole is sidelined with a Grade 2 hamstring strain.

Jenkins is a former Miami Dolphins fourth-round draft pick from Florida. He has played for the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills.

Jenkins has 227 career tackles and three forced fumbles.

The Texans cut corner Marcus Burley and signed defensive tackle Chunky Clements to the practice squad.
