Schaub seems like a great dude!! I always wanted him to be the guy, but he never would have.

Will be pulling for him, but I'm glad we can move on from him.

Matt had a certain level of success here. His greatest downfall was his inability to deliver on the big stage vs big opponents. That was his downfall. Matt has value and may still have a decent career away from here. Unfortunately, last seasons disaster proved several things: His arm is much weaker, his throwing picks are affecting his play, and he no longer had the support of the team. He failure was a combo of a lack of skill plus terrible coaching. I wish Matt the best and hope he can reclaim his prior success. Unfortunately, too many bridges were burnt here and he will never feel the same playing at Reliant(or NRG) stadium. He needs a change in scenery.

To all Raiders fans, just realize that Matt's a great person off the field. He however will never ever be the QB to take a team to the promise land. A special thank you to the GM of the Raiders.

To all the Texans fans, we got a "late" pick from Matt Schaub!!!

BOB is a QB guy. He likes to develop QBs. Right now, we have the pick of the litter. So whoever BOB feels is the best QB in the draft, I think he takes him. Whether it be the 1st pick or trade down. BOB is going to want to take "his guy".

Although i fully expect our rookie, Fitz and Keenum to go into a QB battle and the best man will start Week 1.

Both extremely mediocre. Fitz is at least bigger and a more traditional QB. I doubt either is starting by the end of the season. They might not be starting to begin the year.

Being a "QB guy" he also knows that he doesn't need to reach on an unworthy QB at the top since he can groom someone in the second round just as easily since this draft lacks top tier QB talent.

Surprised we got that much for him.

Goodbye Schaub, you had a bit of success here, but it's been long past time.

Yup, Schaub will get to see what it's like to go against Watt, Cushing, and Clowney.

If he's not handcuffed by a conservative coach he'll perform well. Looks like the Raiders found their starter. I hope he proves most of clutchfans wrong, however there was no place for him in Houston, that ship had sailed even though it was mostly Kubiak's fault for his demise.
