That’s why those penalties hurt so much. Multiple were on 3rd and 8+ following an incompletion.

not saying anything about the refs, can’t be making those dumb penalties either way. Just observing that the reason I think ppl are so hung up on the bad calls is because of how inopportune the timing was.

Yes parity, but Houston was looking too good. I was watching a program (day prior to game) running down
strength of schedule of both teams after this game. Claiming both teams could in
all likeliness win out the rest of the season.

It's easy to see that the "league" has assisted the Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers in several games
    this season.

I was all geared for a Houston win vs Jags since the Texans have owned them with
7 or 8 straight wins......but as I was watching the game I was taken back by the reffing
by halftime. Accepted the fact that this game was not going to be a win.

    Leaves the NFL with flexibility.

Not saying the Texans won't be there; if Lawrence gets hurt.....Texans are the
next big story. At least over a Titans or Colts division championship.

Sure it's bad reffing. But don't go betting your house on any of this. Instant replay was suppose
    to clean up this stuff.

Even if you believe the reffing was pure as the driven snow, being in bed with gambling would make you suspicious that it wasn't. That's why historically they treated gambling offenses like murder with maximum penalties.

Sure thing. I'm not sure what is more troubling...
that the NFL has so many teams going from worst to first to or that people don't think some shenanigans are going on?

I’m positive the commitee will decide to put the Texans in the playoffs should we finish second in the division.

What pisses me off is that we should be 8-4 and the Jags 7-5. We got robbed last week by the refs.

The NFL has no committees. It has Tie-Breakers set up by a committee.

I thought it was a joke given the recent College football shenanigans. Maybe no?

Probably. I also probably take Tie-breakers too seriously.

There’s optimism Trevor Lawrence’s injury (an ankle sprain, as @TomPelissero first reported last night) isn’t bad and that’s a credit to the #Jaguars QB’s flexibility. — Mike Garafolo

Jaguars coach Doug Pederson says QB Trevor Lawrence has "just a right high-ankle sprain." Everything looks stable and they'll see how he looks this week. — Tom Pelissero

Jaguars WR Christian Kirk has a core muscle injury and will miss some time, Doug Pederson says. — Jonathan Jones
