She has stood up to big corporate banking in ways others have not and been successful at it where others have not. I don't see her as fearful or not up to tough tasks. She was an underdog in her race for the senate and won. It's crazy. It seems like the biggest problem most people have with her is that they think that she can't win. If all of those people who don't have a problem with her just support her she would be the favorite.
It’d be hypocritical if she understood the contradiction in her statement. She doesn’t. It’s just a naive statement — like from a child.
She's not a socialist. It's a damn shame we don't force kids to read the our True Bible, the Wealth of Nations, in public schools. I'm guessing it's because it's harder to pull a wool over peoples eyes if we did. We slap on home ec and pretend whatever it is they wing around will earn your way to the American dream.
she's gonna have a hard time winning many rural states this way https://nypost.com/2019/03/18/elizabeth-warren-wants-to-abolish-the-electoral-college/ more detailed article at: https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ill-electoral-college/?utm_term=.d547b1cf423b
New poll puts Warren in third place in her home state of Massachusetts behind Sanders and Biden. Mayor Pete is in 4th place. "According to Spencer Kimball, Director of Emerson Polling, 'this is a concern for Warren who at this time does not have a firewall in her home state, and her rival Sanders has a strong base in the Bay State.'” http://emersonpolling.com/2019/04/0...in-top-four-trump-popular-only-with-his-base/
I assume the suggestion is that her "Native American" "scandal" (sic?) is the ironic part, as if that helped her get a faculty job at Harvard or wherever. But she definitely got her college admissions, as far as I know, on the up-and-up, and definitely did come from a not-at-all-rich background as a kid. So it doesn't seem totally hypocritical to me (?) but what do I know. I'm just watching, not cheering.
It would stimulate the economy more than lower Fed interest rates in a more sustainable way that won't invoke an economic collapse. It's a big problem with why there are fewer and fewer home owners in their late 20s and 30s than before.
Except the Historically Black colleges she talks about have debt and repayment metrics along the lines of for profit colleges. She is losing and desperate and sad at this point. Like Chief Joseph she should quit and say "I will fight no more forever"
It will likely never happen, it is too radical. Then again I thought the Republicans were fiscally responsible enough to not pass the radical Trump tax cuts and they did. It may be unpopular, but I will say that those that support it will be a hell of a lot for fervent about it as it will save them $50,000. Many of those 35 and under have gone to college and most have college loan debt they worry about, It doesn't really matter because I don't see Warren winning the election, but she could be a VP nominee.
