This is what worries me more than anything. Our defense needs to be very disciplined in order to have success with Smith. He's not going to make a lot of bad decisions, but he's likely not going to make great plays to beat you either. If you overcommit or play too aggressive, he'll find the weak link. But if you take away his options you're likely to get a lot of stalled out drives (unless Charles just gouges you repeatedly).
Props to Zach Miller for a good year last year but he is no Travis Kelce. And the Chiefs know they can use a game plan involving Kelce against the Texans defense which is pretty much the same as last year.
Yeah and we a have a much better offense that will keep their offense off of the field more while not gift wrapping easy points. Completely different game
Quick question about tailgating, if we were going to use a little grill...is there enough space behind say a single cab truck? Or should we grab a second parking pass? Yellow Lot.
Theres enough room. Theres a blue line running perpendicular to your parking lane for cars to drive through that they dont want you to go past but youll have enough room for a small grill.
Obviously the Texans offense should be able to do better than they did last year. Much better. No one said it will be the same game. (I think this game will be much closer) But the Texans D and the Chiefs offense are almost the same. When those two are on the field, the Texans D needs to do better. The playoff game was better than game 1 of last season but Kelce still went for over 100 yards receiving.
Much better competition than the Bears. Justin Houston not playing last I heard. Kelce is the main concern besides the oline. ILB is a major priority this offseason.
Bullough played very well last week. Though he isn't a sexy name, he could very well play himself into a starting position for a few weeks. I could see us drafting an ILB, but I don't know how early. Maybe second or third round, but I could see us waiting till later, too. I hate playing the Chiefs because they're so good at quick plays, which mitigates what our defense does best. That said, our secondary has now had more seasoning. Our offense is better. Our pass rush is better. I think McKinney is key here, as I think hes improved vastly from last season, and he'll go a long way at slowing Kelce down. I'm not going to give a prediction, because I just don't know. It should be a close game. The Texans should be pissed off and come out swinging. It's kind of the game on nontraditional powerhouses, and either team could represent the AFC at the end of the season.
Chiefs think Justin Houston will return in November http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...oject-justin-houston-will-return-in-november/
Brock will earn his money Sunday. I expect Houston to go for the kill early and never let up. Huge game from Miller and Hop/Fuller. Hou 31 KC 20

Thanks. I knew about Houston but I kept seeing post with people saying key "players" out for Chiefs on defense but it's only Houston.
He's pretty much their entire pass rush though. That's one guy that counts as missing more than one guy LOL.
Think of it this way, the Bears got 2 sacks and 8 QB hits on Brock in week one, the Chiefs only managed 1 sack and 3 QB hits in week one.....and the Chiefs have been one of the top teams in the NFL in sacking the QB the last few years.
