Worse than Maldy? Abreu currently hitting .078 and Maldy at .061. Can't believe we almost won a WS last year with both on the team. Time to move on and bring someone else up than can be an asset rather than a liability at first base.
Maldy is a catcher and supposedly brings "intangibles" to the table...Abreu brings absolutely nothing.

His intangibles are not looking very good this year with CWS. The gig is about up on his intangibles.
I'm confused, didn't we get the best closer in baseball, and along with the very good closer we already had, weren't we supposed to be dominating going into the 8th?
Maldy can call an okay game and has demonstrated locker-room leadership. Not saying we should've kept him but he's better than Abreu at this point.
