Good to be home. Taking 3 of 4 should get our stretch run geared up. Gotta close em out and get back to timely hitting. Let's go 'Stros!
Pretty even pitching matchups on paper. Hopefully the team has shaken off whatever funk they've been in. We need a good series against Jays before the Rangers series. I'll say 3/4.
Hoping for 3/4, need at least a split. The McHugh/Estrada matchup looks like a bad one on paper unless McHugh can right the ship. Someone tell him to deal with the blister that will result and throw the **** out of that curve

I like the spirit. Put the trade deadline behind us (and the Detroit series) and take over. Need guys to step up but I think they will for the stretch run. Would be nice if we get some production from Musgrove and Hoyt if his number is called at some point.
Maybe Musgrove still here in case Fister gets a last second call but guess trust the process if they want to get him acclimated as a long reliever like Devenski and Feliz. Would like to see Hoyt just to see if he can provide another late inning option to the mix.
If Fister isn't going on paternity yet, why not bring a bat up to replace Feldman's spot. Do we know if Gomez and Marwin are available off the bench tonight? I know we flew Musgrove in just in case we needed him, but could they not have got a hitter on standby. May as well have saved Musgrove as the call up when Fister is eventually put on leave.
Donaldson scratched and Tulo already out. Wow, catching a huge break. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">New Blue Jays 8/1 - <a href="https://t.co/ODGJ7Yx6i9">https://t.co/ODGJ7Yx6i9</a><br><br>Travis 2B<br>Bautista RF<br>Encarnacion DH<br>Saunders LF<br>Martin C<br>Smoak 1B<br>Pillar CF<br>Barney 3B<br>Goins SS</p>— FantasyLabs MLB (@FantasyLabsMLB) <a href="https://twitter.com/FantasyLabsMLB/status/760229402256904192">August 1, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Such an ugly lineup tonight. About all we can do with the injuries though. Let's go! Gotta take 3 of 4
Let's go 'stros! why do they have 8 relievers? Seems heavy, especially with such a short, hurt bench.
We have to turn the ship now. It's urgent now! But I will say calling up prospects is always underwhelming and trade deadline acquisitions are often over hyped.
