Through 6 innings, the quality of contact Miley gave up was consistent with that of Stubbs. 7th and 8th innings were more in line with quality of contact of Reddick or Diaz. Not sure I'd call it 8 outstanding innings as he was definitely better early than late. Though this is mostly semantics. I'd have let Miley start the 9th. Though, I would not have let Miley face Chapman with a chance to tie the game in the 9th (Not that I think it was a big deal to leave him in either).
Its hard to go back and really evaluate after the fact without using hindsight. But I will say that I was concerned getting into the late innings only up two runs. While either Osuna or Hinch seem to be taking the blame, a equal amount should be applied to the offense (lack of).
Here I haven't recovered from last night's game, and, oh hey, today's game has already started...and we have 2 errors through 2 innings. Holy hell, guys, pull it together.
14th game with no off days. Tough loss in extra innings followed by a Day game. I’m not expecting them to win this game. Much needed off day Thursday. Friday however...Correa is back and hopefully can help get us back on the good foot.
The Astros are on record now as having broken the record set by Monterey Bay, having kept a Great White alive in captivity for 4 years. It was released, but not because it wasn't eating. Officials say it kept banging it's head on the inside the enclosure.
