Astros were the best team all year. They have a stacked roster. They’re SUPPOSED to win the World Series. Anything short of a championship is a complete failure and waste of a season.

Today has the potential to be a disastrous day in Houston if Texans & Astros lose.

Astros just got blanked 7-0 at Home, in the playoffs.

Texans got blown out at home when they had **** at QB.

Texans have lost 1 game by more than 7 (14 points) since Watson became QB. Anything before him, doesn’t matter now.

I am truly amazed at how lost our hitters continue to be.

The at bats are terrible. All the first pitch meatballs the hitters just stared at.

Hinch leaving pressly in for hits 3 AND 4 is also beyond incredibly pathetic.

Very frustrating that all our hitters are in a black hole type funk at exactly the wrong time of the season. If the bats dont wake up this is an easy sweep for NY. So embarrassing how unprepared we looked tonight. Yes the ump sucked too but this game is on our hitters. Terrible terrible performance.

Over the last ten seasons no team has had better than a 30% chance of winning the World Series entering the playoffs according to Vegas.... so no, not winning the World Series isn’t a complete failure based on recent history of baseball. Chance plays a very large part in the MLB post season.

There was even a recent podcast where the GM for the Astros and Rockets discussed it.

You are like the dude with the fat, ugly girlfriend bagging on the beauty queen.

It’s sad. Know you place and go sit with your ugly girlfriend before you make a big fool of yourself.

If the Yankees played Seattle as many times as the Astros, then they would probably have the best record and be considered the best team. Am I wrong?

The baseball aficionado is comparing one single baseball game to one single football game.

    He's forgotten plenty no doubt.

Btw- Down 21-0 then losing 21-7 is a blowout.

Very true, but the Yankees also have a stacked Roster, this isn't the Orioles here.

Maybe they even have a better record with if not for their injuries.

Just saying, we should have known going into this, it's going to be tough. I'm not at all surprised the Yankees won tonight, I am surprised at how they won though, certainly.

Now if the Astros lost this series 0-4 and get dominated like the Twins...then yeah, that is not a good look...but even still they are a better run franchise than the Rockets and Texans...and the Rockets are well run, well, we'll see how Tilman does as he settles in as owner...but if this is indeed a 6-7 game series then no shame losing to the Yankees.

Would hate it, their fans are obnoxious, but their team is just as stacked as the Astros are. This was never going to be easy.

No surprise the hardest Astros detractors are the strongest Texans supporters.

    Misplaced hate

Bregman and company have repeatedly said that its world series or bust. You think Crane ate up that 25 mil to pay Grienke just to get to the ALCS? This season is going to be a disaster if we lose in the ALCS.

If we dont get to the world series then this season would have been a disaster. The astros were almost 2 to 1 favorites to beat the Yanks. This team is STACKED. If we lose to the Yanks it will be one of the larger upsets in ALCS. The team closed as -178 favorites.

    If we lose, WE'RE CHOKERS.

No way would that be an upset. This series is universally considered to be a battle of the titans.

an unexpected result or situation, especially in a sports competition.
How would it not be an upset? Do you not understand how odds work in gambling. When a team that is a heavy favorite as that of the astros lose to an underdog its called an upset.

Yanks were +150 going into the series and the Astros were -177 odds.

In 2018 the Astros were -115. In 2017 they were -170. In 2016 the Blue Jays and Red sox wer almost even. The astros are one of the most heaviest favorites of this decade. Just facts. Whether you agree is a different story but this is the definition of an UPSET. This team is LOADED.

Without production from Springer and Correa, I don’t see how this offense can get going. Those guys better figure out something fast.

We need to move Alvarez down to 6 and move Yuli to 5th. Move Brantley if need to also for game 3.

I haven't fully crunched the numbers yet, but my hypothesis is that we will probably have to score more runs moving forward if we're gonna win this.

A lot of people are suddenly Astros fans come October.

Pretty clear if we don’t win it all this year that Cole will 100% walk during the off season and our window will get even smaller.
