All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted. 5-13 Brad Peacock (R) vs. Matthew Boyd (L) 6:10 5-14 Wade Miley (L) vs. Ryan Carpenter (L) 6:10 5-15 Justin Verlander (R) vs. Tyson Ross (R) 6:10
I read somewhere that Tyson Ross got put on the IL, so it will be someone else starting for the Tigers in the 3rd game.
We have done a great job (15-5) vs our own division, but we have to prove that we can beat everyone else (11-10). Lets start tonight.
Our warm weather boys gonna have to deal with the cold again. Looks like game temps in the 40's tonight, 50's the next 2 nights.
Speculation out of Detroit is that LHP Matt Hall, who was great last year in AA/AAA but has been hit hard so far this year, will be the guy. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/s...tyson-ross-goes-il-ulnar-neuritis/1184877001/
They'll play better against others... and won't play .750 ball all the time vs. the division. Things even out.... team still wins more than 100 games if healthy.
The Royals plus 18 games against likely 2019 playoff teams. Looking at the schedule, Astros have already lost 7 games against the AL Central. They lost 7 all of last year. Just going to have to win the last 18 or so games against the AL Central this year. What division is Detroit in again?
Looking at the first two AB's, Peacock's location has either been way off the plate or near the middle of it. He needs to find some edges or he might get beat up bad.
This would be the game the Tigers needed if they want to not be swept. It's not looking promising so far. But then this team is going to win 105+ games this year.
