Bleh sorry didn't see the rest of the post above. What's the long-term plan with Obie then?? Or will he be back post ASB
Stashing him for post ASB, IIRC. As for this series....please win. The team needs a nice road series, it's been so damn long.
^^ Would be great. Astros would salvage the road trip going 5-5. We have our best starters pitching, so the series is set up nicely. btw- What is PbP? It can't mean play-by-play
Yes it means play-by-play. If you need someone to tell you everythign that is happening in the game you need to go to ESPN or yahoo or some game cast. Not have someone say Valbuena K's in one post then in the next Correa HR. Stuff like that. The old posts had people that posted everything that happened down to the strike.
Feldman will be back soon. They also have an off day the 1st Monday back, so they could skip a spot in the rotation. Keuchel McCullers McHugh Feldman Velasquez Obie may not be back.
I'm not an Obie fan, but he's better than some of the relievers we have, so at a minimum, they would at least try him in the bullpen as a middle or long reliever before giving up on him. Also, reading the tea leaves, they may do something outside the box to keep the pitch count down for VV and McCullers, i.e., go with a 6 man rotation (having VV and McCullers pitch once every sixth game), or having Obie pitch as a regular and alternate two rookies as a fifth starter with some bullpen mixed in.
The league has adjusted to Correa. In time he will learn how to deal with all of the inside fastballs.
