Hinch has ZERO trust in Giles.

Was he even warming up ?

Is there any doubt now who the closer is?

Where did you hear that? I really hope the said bullpen arm isn't Iglesias, blew another save tonight and gave up homer #6 today. More than he gave up all last season, in less than half as many innings. Has poor control, and his K/9 is also down. He is Giles 2.0.

Edit: Really don't like Marwin at SS. Really would like Bregman at SS, Yuli at 3B, Davis at 1B while Correa is out.

No clue, was just told it would happen before the deadline. Maybe they have a deal agreed to in principle but the scouts are evaluating who we’re gonna send. That’s my guess.

It’s a damn good arm tho. I think we’ve been linked to him before.

No doubt for me anyway. Giles would have imploded in both the eighth and the ninth if it had gotten that far. He just does not have the speed and movement on hit pitches to consistently put hitters away in pressure situations. This guy Rondon is good IMO.

Right. Keep in mind, also, Rondon imploded for 2+ seasons after he had been dominate.

Astros' coaching does get the most out of its pitchers though, so maybe Rondon lasts.

    1 game winning streak!
good win. if you take out the months of April, may, and two weeks in June, the rangers have been playing some quality baseball. =]

I am impressed from what I have seen so far from Rondon. Our other off-season relief pitcher acquisition Joe Smith not so much.

I did not, not at all, like Rondon throwing Gallo 11 of 12 pitches as fastballs that he just kept fouling off. He was asking to have one timed up and crushed. Mix in a wrinkle, you could have K'd him 6 pitches earlier, if you don't feel like you can then you don't belong there.

Yeah I wondered why he threw so many fastballs to Gallo as well. Many right down the middle. That was quite a battle that fortunately he ended up winning. May be a function of working with an inexperienced catcher. I guess we will never know.

What in the blue **** are you talking about now?

A starter putting his team in position to win by pitching solid innings is a good thing. It doesn't necessarily matter how many runs he gives up.

Agree with the edit part and Iglesias. Would much prefer going for britton even though he is a FA this offseason. Give some of keuchel and Marwins money to him, you absolutely cannot go to October this year "hoping for the best" with 3 arms you dont want to use (Giles, harris, smith).

It was very Billy Wagnerific. You can't get away with that against better hitters than Gallo, but still he could have tied the game with 1 little mistake.
