Haha. Well, to be fair, I left in mid-August. And at the point I was there, his performance was still relatively level. I was more referring to the 2 or 3 off outings he had toward the end of September that raised his ERA a half point or so, where a lot of Chronicle writers started the psychology bull**** again and didn't mention the incredibly obvious reason that his performance would suffer -- the knee.

Was. All of this is part of my Master's program at Missouri... I left Houston to finish coursework in the fall, and my work now is with the LA Times (Washington Bureau) which is why I covered the Clemens stuff earlier this month. Effectively, the Missouri graduate program is a mix between traditional courses and taking various positions in the industry. That said, I hope I'll get to come back to the Astros after I'm done with the Times and officially graduated, but we'll see. That's not my call. Hopefully they liked me.
