Berkman is so much more subdued this time around (in a positive, more-balanced way) that I wasn't even sure it was actually him when I heard him tonight.
Homeruns now represent 1/3 of Verlander's hits surrendered. Seems his multi-run rate is increasing too. ETA- And another one.... wasn't multi-run at least
JV doesn't need to be starting the All Star game, can't have the league leader in HR's surrendered starting. Unless he's the starting pitcher for Bregman in the HR derby...I kid...sort of.
He has given up 3+ ER's in his last 5 consecutive starts, 6 with today. His ERA has risen from 2.16 to 2.86 during this span. I think he will find his game soon though.
He’ll be fine. I don’t have the numbers but didn’t he struggle pretty hard for a month and a half last year? And by struggle, I mean look mere mortal. Better to get out the system now, corrected and ready to roll through September and October. 2017 style.
