You are the one interested in counting bodies - count yours and I will count mine Next time dont misrepresent others, or better still stay out of discussions you dont know the basis of
I have no qualms with my principles and sleep quite well at night. You on the other hand quoted a part of an exchange with a different poster without the full context in which it was made. That was either reckless or done with ill intent - neither should be extolled
I regret my earlier choice of the title for this thread, and so I've modified it. a supportive piece about Ocasio-Cortez's questioning of the Amazon.com decision to locate one of its new facilities in Queens http://thefederalist.com/2018/11/14/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-right-angry-amazon-hq2/ Why Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Is Right To Be Angry About Amazon’s New HQ The democratic-socialist from the Bronx is right. Amazon shouldn't get billions in tax incentives. Amazon announced it will split its second headquarters between two locations — one in Crystal City, Virginia, a suburb just outside of Washington D.C., and Long Island City, New York. Both are rapidly gentrifying areas with housing prices on the rise. The retail giant announced it expects to receive “$1.5 billion in tax incentives for the 4 million square feet of office space” and estimated 50,000 employees it will hire to staff its new headquarters, NBC News reports. In response to the announcement, Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went on a tweet storm decrying taxpayer-funded cronyism and expressing concerns about how her constituents’ communities will be affected. more at the link
These kinds of reactions against Wisconsin, Crystal City, and NYC are misguided and overblown. These governments are not handing over cash payments to these companies. It more like a “get your first month’s rent free” kind of deal. AOC is way off base as usual — especially in regards to her backwards concern for how her constituents will be effected. She should welcome change, any change, and all change.
Tell that to the homeowners paying increased property taxes because of deals like this. They end up footing the bill while receiving no benefit from it. Ends up driving out poor homeowners in those areas that can't afford it.
Not only she ran away from a debate earlier this year she consistently uses moral posturing. "Oh you don't believe in universal health care, you must hate poor people and want them all to die" The world would be such a better place without dishonest people like her

It isn't just there headquarters either. They built a distribution center 5 minutes from my house. And it happens for every large company. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.13...millions-in-tax-breaks&contentId=93-490334697
This makes Legend look so pathetic. Poor Legend. Owned. Poor Dinesh, at least he gets paid to be a right wing pundit "of color". I would advise him to save a lot as his shelf life seems to be about over.
