eg. this is what could happen for a $1 B expenditure.

it is recorded to either to the wrong account, without documentation and or explanation

the entry is transferred to a suspense account, pending property documentation/explanation,
then it is recorded to another account. upon further review, it is found to be the wrong account.
it is a vicious cycle​

it takes ~ 100 round trips before the transaction is properly documented / recorded.
the summation of all the errors. incorrect recordings, for this $1 B expenditure, totals $198 B​

 

Try reading it again and understand that the failure to understand what she was reading was on AOC. You don't have to explain it to me because I understood it from the start and I assumed everyone else did too. It's the foolish future congresswoman that thought that 21 trillion in DOD misappropriated funds could have been used to fund a socialized healthcare system. It never occurred to her that there was no way the DOD even had that kind of money to misappropriate in the first place.

I guess it was also you that misunderstood why I posted what I posted as well but I've spelled it out now so we should be on the same page. I didn't think that explanation was necessary or it would have been in my OP.

Well, this thread is about AOC tweets. But, I agree the size of the accounting problem they have is ridicorous. Only an unaccountable monopoly like that could possibly get away with such incompetence.

 

AOC's tweets were not factual. They hurt her own cause when she isn't careful enough about the information she puts out. She's young enough to learn from her mistakes hopefully.
