    take a second guess..

". The U.S. Treasury imposed sanctions Wednesday on three senior Al Qaeda members in Iran in an effort to disrupt their operations and fundraising.
The three men — Faisal Jassim Mohammed Al-Amri Al-Khalidi, Yisra Muhammad Ibrahim Bayumi and Abu Bakr Muhammad Muhammad Ghumayn — have been found to be acting for on behalf of Al Qaeda, and as a result, any of their property under U.S. jurisdiction have been blocked and U.S. citizens are prohibited from pursing transactions with them.

I refuse to give back your money until you give me something, that's not ransom. Happy to drop some knowledge on you.

Just LOL at your delusional thinking. You'll stop at nothing to defend Obama, even when the facts are clearly proving you wrong.

Money we held plus "Interest" lol, will they disclose how much that 'Interest' was?

WTF is that B/S. We froze those funds and basically turned it into a loan from them that needs to be paid back with interest?

It was their money in the first place and what we owed to them....

If anything they paid us a ransom for their money....

You want your money then we want this....

    BWAAAAHAHAHA

you're dancin', but not fooling anybody

let me break this down for you. When you fly an unmarked cargo plane into Iran with $400,000,000 in it, and you get prisoners back in return as a condition, then you're paying ransom. Period, end of story. Your little attempt to say "it was their money" doesn't have any relevance at all.

You can spin it anyway you want...

    Scenario...

    BigTexx Loans T_Man $100.00 dollars

30 years later T_Man decides to give BigTexx his money back....
Wait.... T_Man sees a set of New Ping Golf clubs that he wants

T_Man says I have your 100.00 dollars and I will give it back to you, but I want the golf clubs..

BigTexx and T_Man negotiate... BigTexx finally says ok..

So now T_Man gives BigTexx HIS money that he already owed him and also gets the golf clubs...

That's not a Ransom.... basically i'm HOLDING your MONEY hostage for something I want in return.

The money and hostages were one of many bargaining chips in the nuclear arms deal, an agreement that required all the major powers. Those sailors had no business in Iranian waters anyways.

Illegally withholding funds from a sovereign nation didn't really curb their military ambitions. It just kept their country in festering ****hole status.

Excuse me for not having any sympathy for thieves.

I call buying something from someone with their money a pretty sweet deal. Well done, Obama.

I think if it was Bush who had done this - Bigtexxx would understand and be on board.

It's ransom money and Obama really is not good on foreign policy. I say that as someone who thinks the guy is cool and very likeable.
