    I'm not an economic or antitrust expert but its my understanding that there is nothing illegal about having a monopoly but what a company does to maintain a monopoloy is what is illegal...

    How exactly would this be considered a monopoly? NOBODY is making you pay for this service. You've got terrestrial radio, you've got the iPod/Zune, you've got CD's...Satellite radio is competing with all of these things.
