If you have really been following the Rockets you wouldn’t be coming to that conclusion. Team offensive rating rank / 3 point % rank 12-13 : 6th/9th 13-14 : 4th/16th 14-15 : 12th/14th 15-16 : 7th/19th 16-17 : 2nd/15th 17-18 : 1st/14th 18-19 : 2nd/12th We have pretty clearly thrived with average shooting because of the right game plan. Moreyball works. That’s not to say that better shooters wouldn’t help, but I think our strategy of average shooters who can defend and do other things works better than specialists who can really only shoot.
your thread was plain idiotic that serves no purpose. is that your attempt to make yourself feel like you matter or something? b****ing about not going after seth curry on 04/17/19 in the midst of a playoff run does exactly what? thread starting privileges for some that needs to be taken away recently came about. you're a prime example troll quit bringing the board down. its pathetic
Lets face it, nothing we say or do here that will change anything that goes into upgrading (or downgrading) outr team Of course you can express your opinion. But what does, speaking from hind-sight, really accomplish here? Pretty much nothing. Could you these guys use someone like JJ Reddick off the bench to help score? Sure, they tried signing him a couple seasons ago and he declined. Could we use someone like Kyle Korver to provide scoring off the bench as well? Definitely, but he was traded to Utah for a player and picks we didn't have or want to part with at the time. Could we use a guy like Malcolm Brogdon to help our offense and defense overall? Absolutely, but he was drafted right before our pick in the 2nd round of the 2016 NBA draft. See, hindsight works in all types of ways. I stated my opinion but I see no need in making hypothetical threads about "what ifs", that's just not the way sports work. It didn't happen for one reason or another, get over it, move on, and enjoy their current run in a quest for a title! That's it.
Are you somehow under the impression that you're in a position to "fix/overcome the weakness?" Armchair GM's=nails on a chalkboard
It's like people forget we had players like AB, Troy Daniels, and Canaan before and never kept them because 3pt specialists can rarely do anything outside of shoot.
CF is the most depressing place to be when the playoffs roll around. Look at these sorry ass threads flooded on the front page. Yea I'm passin on this weak ****
No one is saying people can't criticize the team. We all have our moments of frustration. When we see bad play going on, we get annoyed, we vent. That being said...there are quite a few posters here that only show up when things are going downhill. It's old and tired. The worst excuse most give for it is "I don't have time to be here during the whole game." Your'e not fooling anyone. When 90 percent of your posts are criticizing the play, we get why you're actually here. Most of us would honestly appreciate it more if you just owned up to it. Then there's the people saying "Well, I think ahead of Utah, I'm thinking of GS." Fair enough I guess...but that's acting like GS is just another team that happens to be better. No, they are a dynasty. Things have to go extremely well for anyone to have a chance to beat them in a 7 game series. The "It's a ring or bust" argument is extremely annoying. Yes, rings are the ultimate goal. However, you need to have a realistic idea of it. It's -OK- to say "We had one of our most talented teams in years last year, and in an NBA with out 4 all stars/2 of whom are MVP's, we would have most likely won a championship." That can't be said enough. A championship...something we've done -twice- in our history. Last years team was -that- good, this years team is -that good-. It's just bad timing...and we've done just about everything possible to compete with them. Oh well, just a long ramble so I apologize.
Don’t care about any of this. Just win. Once we win u can see who cares more about being “right”. Anyone who gets in an argument with another poster or calls people out for a post they don’t like after the rockets win in the finals probably cares more about being validated by an online forum than the rockets getting the championship. Sad to see posters fishing for likes with a snarky little comment after a big game. I just want to see the rockets win, although seeing the warriors crushed and demoralized comes as a close second.
But it is not hating, it is a cathartic way to excercise the frustration at times. This is nothing, you guys should see Philly fans...... Sunshine fans are great - critical fans are great - at the end we all want the Rockets to win and will be jumping up and down when it happens. I never understand people b****ing about people b****ing.......the hypocrisy... DD
You're not really saying anything... Thousands of ways? How about this one: So then what would make someone not a Rockets fan?
