Unless he's going to be used as a bargaining chip in the future, his chances of coming out are very slim. 20 years in a NK prison is a death sentence. These are the low life mother****ers that imprison people from birth to death.

Prison? Have you guys actually read what's hard labor? It doesn't sound like he is going to survive this.

    http://foreignpolicy.com/2013/05/02/whats-it-like-to-do-hard-labor-in-north-korea/

"Eating a diet of mostly corn and salt, they lose their teeth, their gums turn black, their bones weaken and, as they age, they hunch over at the waist," read the report, according to the Washington Post. "Most work 12- to 15-hour days until they die of malnutrition-related illnesses, usually around the age of 50. Allowed just one set of clothes, they live and die in rags, without soap, socks, underclothes or sanitary napkins."

In its 2012 annual report, Amnesty International gives a similarly horrific depiction. "The combination of hazardous forced labor, inadequate food, beatings, totally inadequate medical care and unhygienic living conditions, resulted in prisoners falling ill, and a large number died in custody or soon after release," said the group. "We received 120 grams of rotten corn for daily food," said one former prisoner. "So many people with the same year and a half sentence as me didn’t survive their term and died of hunger."

There's no way he won't be used as a bargaining chip. He's no good for NK dead or tucked away somewhere in a mine.

They will probably keep him separate with other foreign prisoners and treat him decently until he is eventually used.

A friend of mine and her bf went to North Korea - out of curiosity. They said it was the weirdest place they had ever been to. Kim Jong Il is treated like a god and they speak of him in the highest regards all the time.

They said everything felt backwards and grey. Like they were caught in a dreary 1950's movie. When they went shopping they were the only ones in the store and it was clear they were being watched.

They also mentioned being given a tour and being shown this grocery store with all these food and bright vegetables. Then later she walked past it again and realized that it was actually a huge cardboard cutout/picture and it was fake. All set-up to make foreign visitors see the country differently.

Scrutiny of Communist despots with the worst human rights record on planet Earth just doesn't go as far as it used to.

Judging by Google track history ;.

President Obama might make a nuclear deal with N.A and put a sanction on Soul
President Trump might send a thank you letter to NA leader and tell them : you showed the world how to secure your border properly
President Sander would tell Americans : the success of communist party in NA allow them to jail a guy for 15 years , where in this country we dont even have a prison spot for such minor offences

President Hillary : would do the right things since they dont have enough money

You are so naive if you believe the North Korean version of the story. They have no credibility.

I'm sure his diplomatic appeal will be handled with the same expediency as Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.

His parents should plead to Rodman for help.
