I pay for prime for the shipping. The fact that they provide some platform for streaming some shows is an added perk. My question to you, why would you take issue that I refuse to pay the exorbitant prices for cable, for which I can’t justify paying that type of money for? I don’t get the value back for the price that cable is billed… plain and simple!
This. If NBC gets the rights they're not going to remove all their other NBC primetime programming for nba games. They would move most games to one of their cable stations, maybe USA. Then, only the big games would be on NBC, the same way ABC does with ESPN. The only thing that would make this better for a cord cutter is if for some reason NBC affiliates bought the regional sports rights as well but I don't see that happening. You guys may not like TNT/ESPN but there's no guarantee whatever new crew NBC puts together will be any better. I'm already imagining a bunch of wooden "safe" picks for their games. I'm more interested to see what happens to the cap if they really get this $75B deal. That would mean we'd soon see max deals over $100MM per year which seems insane to me.
Yeah we wouldn't be getting Bill Walton for national games. The only difference would be production value. NBC still does a great job of making sports feel "big" (Olympics, EPL) and polished in a way that ABC doesn't. Something about ABC's production has always felt cookie cutter and generic. Maybe it's hearing Black Eyed Peas songs during timeouts in 2023.
No. Hes the opposite Shaq. He showed his bias in hating on anything older than his generation vs his and current generation of players. Good podcast guy, sucks as bad as Shaq in creating division between glory days and current day. You get NBA on NBC back, thats amazing, but you need to bridge the golden era to today. Man how incredible would it be. The stories before the theme song popped off. They used to do like star wars scrolls. The suns and bulls intros were epic. They had terminator theme song in this one that was so dope
