Great win and great effort! Kudos to Rocket for a hell of a game! As for Lidge... when 5 of the 6 outs you have are strikeouts... INCREDIBLE! Go STROS!:D

    Post-game show SUCKS!

First they question whether Garner should have taken out Clemens and then they call Oswalt - AHHHswalt

1980 and 86 were NLCS series.....(there were no divisional series then).

Working days all week. Since I have to be at work at 4:30 in the morning, there's no chance of me making it out.

It's ok, though, I have several days off during the World Series. We'll do an Astros get together then.

The thing is... he's not your true definition of a closer, Lidge can pitch 1, 2, IMO 3 innings. He was being groomed as a starter and tagged as being better than Oswalt, Miller, Redding -- until those surgeries. They said he had a curveball better than his slider is now

I have no doubt in my mind Lidge can go tomorrow, and then the next day, and then the next. Besides, a tired Lidge is better than a fresh Miceli ;)

Here's a quote from Lidge, found in an ESPN article about today's game:

"It felt great. And I'm definitely available for tomorrow," Lidge said.

    He'll be ready.

Is it me or does it suck that we win a game in the NLCS and the don't even mention it on the front page of ESPN. They have the college football on the top right then the Yankees game that isn't even over on the front page...tired of this crap.

You must have missed it... from about 10 minutes after the Astros game, till now, it was Roger on the front page with "What a Blast" as the headline.

hey, i didn't do to bad except for the wheeler part!

"Rocket goes seven and leaves up 3-2, wheeler takes it to lidge in the 9th.

Stros 3-2 in the least scoring game of the series."
