Im looking forward to the NFL season openers, especially seen as I now get both FOX and ESPN conerage.

Anyway as a massive punter (Thats Aussie for I like to gamble) I just wondering who forum members feel will win this season.

Last season I had some money on Green Bay. Not so much because I thought they were the best team, but I liked the price they were at.

This season I'll put a bit on the Cowboys (Stupid fan bet) but I have no idea who to put the real money on. If the Pat can win the title....anyone can!

    So who would you pick?

Your not alone, my friend. :D

I don't bet, but I think the Cowboys could be ok this year. I was a bit disappointed with he injuries and some of their cuts, but they could do very well. I think the Eagles could do very well, also.

I'm a Cowboys and Texans fan also...

Anyway, stay away from betting on the NFL. I bet on both college and NFL, and from my experience, college is a much safer bet. The NFL is too up and down, and you never know who will show up that week. I will probably only make 1 bet on the NFL a week.

Oakland might be a pretty good bet. Judging by the site I bet on (sportsbook.com) and media opinions, I think a lot of people are overestimating the effect that Gruden leaving will have on the Raiders. They have virtually everyone back, a ton of experience, and were a late season collapse away from possibly having home field last year.

Oakland's not my pick to win it all (Pittsburgh is), but looking at the top 7-8 teams in the league with a legit chance to contend, Oakland might be the best value. (if you want to go with a team like you did with the Packers last year)

I am only a casual better on sports, but after a couple of losses I learned to only bet on playoff games/championship games, in any sport. You just never know whats going to happen until a team has been together all year and is playing for real meaning.

I agree with Cat on Oakland, but if you are looking for a team to take a chance on you should consider Indy. If Dungy can make that D respectable, they could be VERY dangerous.
