Not sure about minutes, but I'll take the under on 31.5 wins and I feel confident in that.

38ish wins. Smith has a clutch factor which will add 2 wins. Sengun playing in rhythm is something we have seen only for one week in all the time he has been here. He responded with monstrous games. Green as the primary, goodness. Tari, Cam & Aman as a second unit, goodness. PLUS add in an all league defenseman, an all star point guard and new coaching staff. It wil take time but win total maybe more. A lot of good things are happening all at once.

Tate will play more than Whitmore.

Whitmore will be in the G league.

Betting agency here has the O/U wins for the Rockets at 31.5.

Silas (and hopefully) KPJ gone + the additional of Udoka and more Sengun alone - let alone adding in FVV and Brooks and the (hopeful) continued growth of Green and Jabari - has me betting big on the Overs.

player roles and minutes - I will defer that to Ime and the coaching staff - depends if they earn it [according to Ime]

31.5 Over or Under does not do anything for me.

Whether that is a good line or a below average line.

Feels like the bookies are just toying with it as Over is so obvious.

Everything under 31 is a failure of the Investment.........

Just about everyone has left Tate out of the rotation or just left him with mop up minutes.

He's a hustle & effort player that can play multiple positions, the type coaches love, I expect he plays a significant minutes this season, at least until the trade deadline when I could see the team moving him to clear the way for Whitmore.

I see a 9 man rotation to begin the season -

Guards: FVV / Green / Amen / Tate
Forwards: Brooks / Jabari / Tari / Tate
Bigs: Sengun / Jabari / Landale

It's very possible Whitmore gets some of the minutes behind Green at the 2 spot with the exit of KPJ.

Not going to hazard a guess on minutes outside of FVV, Brooks, Green, Jabari & Sengun playing "starters minutes."

The o/u of 31.5 .... I think they go over, anywhere from 35-41 wins.

I expect they are a pretty solid defensive team - No clue what the offense looks like, can't wait for preseason to get a look at that.

    33 wins. Being a .500 team isn’t happening

    .500 should be the goal.

    It's not crazy.

Of course the goal is to win as many as possible. But yeah it’s pretty crazy to go from barely winning 20 something games to 41 wins. Especially when you have 0 legitimate stars and a still youth core. Expecting overnight results is setting very unlikely expectations

Oh I think they’ll be at about 33 wins and that’s considered a good season where the young guys are taking steps forward. And hopefully after this coming season they’ll be pushing for a play in spot realistically after the hopeful 3rd year jumps from JG/AS and upcoming 3rd years for bari/tari

30 wins would be the first time since Harden was on the team. I'd be pleased with 30. Impressed with 35. Shocked at 40.

Every offseason Rockets fans only look at our Roster to project irrational win improvement without taking into account the teams we actually have to beat 30-40x.

I’ll take the over - feels like this is a low 30s win team at least - i think they get over 31 wins - anything in the mid 30s would be a nice surprise. I’m skeptical on the 40s but there is the chance any one of our young guys makes a leap. The nice thing is - we are actually trying to win now rather than throwing Nix into the game late to blow an assignment and give up a game winning layup(that really happened last year - SMH)

How many wins does a (throretically) competent coaching staff get you?

Another year of growth by the studs

Subtract a negative player, add a couple of vets

Do I think they'll win 40? Nope. But you win ~30 and then 40 is right there. I just want and expect them to be competitive, much more competitive.
