Found this quote in a London article. I'm inclined to believe there's something to it as Pops was interviewed for this story and I'm sure he happened to drop it into conversation.

Eh, I'll pass. We don't need another undersized power forward.

Yeah, plus he's a terrible athlete who wouldn't be able to fit into our new running game.

"A natural athlete, Mensah-Bonsu has become increasingly lethal as a goal-scoring 'power forward'."

This is the funniest sentence on the Internet.

He would fit here nice. Raptors fans loved him during his tenure there.

Bidding war? I'd think we would offer the minimum and that's probably the extent of all negotiations.

I guess this is an attempt to find some post defense. He's only 25 and is a pretty good rebounder and can occasionally block shots. But given that Chuck is a better defender and Dorsey is probably better at everything, including scoring, I wouldn't understand why we would need him.

What happened to the PJR rumors? Ramos and Pops, what a couple of flunkies.

Lol, I just want something to happen. Every time the Rockets get a new player or are rumored to get someone I basically study them like it's for a report.

It's the British press. Everything they write has to be emotionally charged.

That's why I got excited? Like a little girl?

@ TheFreak: I'll take Popovich over Adelman anyday.

I know, it's hard to win w/Tim Duncan. Gregg makes it look easy though.

The Yao Ming effect. Any two-bit big/agent can name drop interest from the Rockets this offseason without being question to get some press.
