Looks like Keshawn Martin is making some noise in training camp. Please lock if already posted. http://www.houstontexans.com/news/article-2/Keshawn-Martin-stepping-up-in-wide-open-WR-group/480d5e4e-f9ad-4089-83fb-5162c9bda774
This is good to hear, as I knew from the day we drafted him he would fit in that 3rd spot. Hopefully he takes advantage of the preseason and shows us what he can do.
Yea, no offense to Posey, but everything I heard & read is pretty much implying K. Martin is looking like the best Texans WR pick ... nice . . Like the fact Dre seems to fancy him as well
The Texans receiving corps (after Andre and Walter) reminds me of the Rockets rookies. So young and talented that you know at least one of them will stick for the long haul, and play at a pretty high level. I"m excited about our receivers for the first time in a while. Andre, Walter, Martin, Bryant Johnson, Jean, Posey. That's a pretty talented group. The other thing about this team is that it's so chock full o' talent that I can't wait for preseason. Oh Lord help me, I'm catching Texans fever again. I have even told like 3 or 4 people, in the past few days, that the Texans will win the Super bowl this year. They just laugh. I respond with, "You laugh, but it's true."
“I never thought I’d see anybody that was less talkative than me, but he really doesn’t say anything. He comes in in the morning, he might give you a head nod and keep it moving. But he plays well, man. He’s been doing a great job.” Keshawn a mime?
Still think we should have signed Randy Moss because AJ is injury prone, but I like what I'm hearing.
Glad to see KMart is turning heads. I thought Joe Adams was a good fit in the slot for the Texans, but Martin is nothing to scoff at either. I think he's the slot WR replacement for Jacoby, and Devier is Kevin Walter's understudy.
I think that's more because Martin is a slot guy whereas Posey is a wideout...this team already has AJ and KW established, so not much opportunity for Posey to do anything other than replace one of those guys. Martin, on the other hand, can be much more involved due to the role he fills.
Kubes also stated recently that Posey had performed well in the wake of AJ's groin injury. He should be able to supplant KW next year but Dev is going to be his and AJ's understudy for the time being. Check out all the nicknames used above... brilliant! Most of these which are often used here.
Real question is this: Who is better/has more potential: Lestar Jean or Devier Posey? I will be curious to find out over the course of this preseason and the next year or two. These two will be vying for Walter's spot (and maybe even Andre's) in a few years or so.
Yeah, that's no longer such a funny statement. We were one drive away from making the AFC Championship.
Or a muffed punt away from the AFC Championship Who the hell fields a punt in the 10 yard line damn jacoby brick hands jones
