If this was available on the old format and I missed it I apologize, but.... I like the reverse-ignore feature allowing you to get a twitter like news feed of posters you follow.
It appears that how long ago you ignored a person makes a difference. More recent ignorees are truly gone, whereas folks that have been on my list a long time give the message that "this person is on your ignore..." Just based on anecdotal evidence and a few posts though, so not sure if this is correct. I've missed this feature for a long time. Glad it's back.
That means you linked to it fine. Probably just "loading" due to a bad connection to the tweet on your side, cfnet's or twitter's side...
If it does that in every thread, (go check out the Media Day thread, for instance), then you should report that to Clutch. He'll want to know Firefox version number.
Yeah, it's in every thread. But now I found out that the problem only exists in private mode. Normal mode works fine. I wonder if Firefox's private mode is blocking some feature.
I don't know what "Firefox private mode" is. But @batkins is reporting a similar issue in another thread. You guys might want to start a new thread for this. Clutch will be very interested in reports about major browser behaviors. Start one called "Possible Firefox issue with Images/Tweets" and explain how you reproduce it. I'm sure batkins will jump in, too.
Private browsing disables things like history and cookies. I'm betting those are required for some features.
Thanks for the time you've put in Clutch with developing the new site. LOVE the new feature where you receive a notification when your post is quoted. Will make it much easier to track down posts with @tinman when we have our back and fourths in the future. (also love the quoting a username feature) Will definitely add to the tip jar again in the near future when the funds allow me to do so.
Here's a tip I just discovered. Toggle button for changing bbs behavior for canvas width. Old variable mode (user determines width via browser window size) or new Facebook-style fixed, max-width mode, so reading width never goes full screen width regardless of browser window size. It was actually mentioned in another thread, forgot who, but I couldn't find the button until last night. (twss...yes yes) Guys like me and Deckard won't use it because we like a fixed, max-width for reading text (since other browser tabs we like wider), but I know others like the flex reading width. There is a toggle button at the bottom left Image for those who need help finding buttons (twss)
It's too bad you can't see what people wrote when they repped you anymore - then you could tell you hate-repped you.
Is that what happened? I saw a thread with people responding to a non-existent post. I figured the post everyone was responding to was somehow offensive and had been stripped out by mods. If it's just because the person was on my ignore list, I'm not sure if I like that. I use my ignore list like a trigger warning. I'll often times still read the person's post, but because I have to click a button to read it, I've given myself a heads-up that I think this person is a dumb-ass and I shouldn't bother getting too worked up about what the post might say. I might have to rethink who is on the ignore list.
