I like it. It was a long time coming, their old website was what, 7 years old? That's an eternity and times have changed.
Everybody always hates a redesign. They'll b**** and moan for a while and then they'll get used to it and go about their normal business as usual.
It's decent. It sure as hell is better than the recent horrible redesigns for CNN and NBC News's websites.
It looks cleaner in terms of aesthetics. I guess my complaints mainly have to do with not being used to this. So I guess I like it.
Don't mind it at all. I wish they would redesign the gamecast so I can see more stats like steals and blocks and stuff. It irks me not to be able to see these.
Few are worse than the Sports Illustrated website. Ugh, now that's one that they made a horrible decision to switch to.
ESPN has a pretty nice design, but it is pretty slow and frustrating. I thought it was an april fools joke but maybe it isn't.
It looks okay on the phone. Not liking it on desktop. I'm missing the old design already. P.S. I like modern things, but not this time.
It's going to get better. It is a work in progress obviously. But they have some innovative ideas on that website now. They make twitter post look like news articles. They also have news/ now toggle which is good. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the openness of news stories running together one against the other. While it helps you discover content, it is very disorientating.
