I am getting a serious deal on an 06 Toyota Avalon XLS Limited. It is a demo so the price is about the same as a fully loaded Camry (which is what we actually went to look for but they cannot keep them on the lot they are selling so fast). Anybody have experience with the 2006s? I test drove it and the pickup is adequate but the ride is sweet and the interior is badass and it is a good size (I have 3 kids). Anybody have any negatives about this car that I should know about?
Demos can be a risky proposition in that you have no idea how much they've been abused. Yes, they still have a warranty, but that doesn't make up for the wasted time trying to get things fixed... well, not for me anyway.
Avalons are nothing but a rebadged Lexus -- awesome car. Any kind of 'demo' is a bit of a concern though.
Yeah, I hear ya but it has a couple things going for it. a. It is a Toyota b. It was driven mostly by the CFO for that group of dealerships who apparently has a rep for taking good care of the vehicles they drive (this comes from someone not with the dealership) I'm still not totally sold yet, but right now it is looking good. Thanks for the input, guys.
