Batman has been done so much I really hope this movie decides to flip the genre on its head with something new. Yes it looks amazing. However the idea of a billionaire who is aggrieved because of an injustice 30 years prior that leads him to get bored, spend a bunch of daddy's money, and start beating up on people caught up in crime that is presented to the audience as black and white crimes is boring as hell to me. Nolan did the genre and the character about as good as you can do it, and that was only a few years ago. Even a few years later we still have the ability to go back and have think pieces, etc. especially about the character Joker who while evil as hell, serves the character more than anyone else ever has to the current climate. There's just no need to once again resurrect this character unless you have something pretty damn provocative to say about the state of our world with Batman as the centerpiece. No shock that the first posters here exploding in their pants at the idea of a billionaire messiah figure taking the law into their own hands for personal grievance are the usual suspect right winger trolls.
Poor superheroes without powers can't afford cool technology and cars without a billionaire, who's going to pay the millionaires like James Harden and Russell Westbrook? I don't know who Bruce Wayne voted for in Gotham's elections But Bernie Sanders would tax the crap out of him! @Os Trigonum
Trailer tells me its baseline Batman. Going back to square one basically- Salina and that kindergarten made suit. I need skin tight latex please. All in all, Im excited for this. Is it due to Corona and no new movies? Maybe. Still excited, regardless. Colin Farell as the Penguin is still off putting.
