Which is why Kupchack and the other Buss had to go. Bonehead moves like that. I think he was one of the 1st signings of FA last season and set a tone for overpaying fringe players... see Bismack Byombo and Ryan Anderson... oops... forget i said that last one.

Deng is worse player right now and a far worse contract than Mozgov. So if they want to get rid of him I dont' think that will be enough.
Unless there's someone who loves Randle smh.

LOL Russell is way more talented than Lin, if anything this is bad news for the lin fanbase. Russell has a Fultz/Harden/Ginobili like potential and has to have the ball to be effective

    Lin cant catch a break

you think they are trading their cornerstone in brook lopez to put russell on the bench hahahah

Also, Lin just lost his starting spot on the Nets, lol.

They could have waited and the price would be cheaper. But since they didn't it seems that there are more upcoming moves very soon.
Otherwise why trade now? Russel very possibly could have raised his value next year and Mozgov would have less $ owed.
The good thing is that since Brolo is an expiring it will also have value as an asset even in January.

They're still a few years away from even making the playoffs. I'll take the timberwolve's roster over the Lakers if I wanted a team built for the future.

Lakers are probably going to be a well run team now and if so that means the league sucks even worse

They aren't rebuilding like the wolves. They'll add young players and then in free agency they'll add two all stars

Brook Lopez is a massive expiring contract. They are looking to fill the gap next season if Lebron and Paul George are in the open market. Ingram and Ball on rookie contracts with those two monsters hanging around...The Lakers made a great move.

Hate to say this but what an incredible trade for the Lakers! Wow.

Amazing what happens when you dump Jim Buss for competent management.

Good move by Brooklyn. With all the picks gone, they have limited means for adding high upside talent.

Yes even the lowly Nets won in this trade...get a young PG in Russell and a pick they desperately need.

That's an awful trade for the Pacers. At a minimum, the Lakers would need to package one of those late 1st round picks just to get rid of Deng's contract.
