Yes I know ppl complain about Yao interior defense and Houston interior defenders, and the truth is is been good is the mid range and pick and pop that are killing us. Well That can be corrected by playing more. P&R defense is the hardest and need a the defenders to be on the same page. Playing more and more and hustling more will fix the problem.

    Great article find!

I'm sure the coaches are showing tapes of these type of mistakes to the players.

Hopefully they'll get better at defending the pick and roll as the season progresses.

Morey said we need to get back to a top 10(5?) defensive team if we ever really wanted to contend. We have the worst defense right now. I never thought that would be us this year. Something is gonna have to get done.

what's the average ppp rate again? I thought 0.90 PPP was acceptable and it becomes more worriesome if the number starts to approach or exceed 1.0?

IIRC, 0.90 ppp should be equivalent to a 45% opponent FG shooting with no FTs and no TOs? Am I missing something here?

in a sample group of this size, the best and worst performances should be removed.

All those basketball analysts and pundits are all wrong. Brooks can shoot. Sarcasm.

Or blame our shot blocking or team defense for AB's lack of defense.

Crazy idea that probably wouldn't work unless one of them took a salary cut:

    Co-head coaches. RA, JVG.

Noobcake doesn't care. He is one of the Lowry fanboys who only posts to bash Brooks.

Rockets lost their hustle. It is not the system. It is the chemistry.

Since the Rockets are also the fastest team in the league right now, or at least one of the fastest, it results in many more possessions that the opposing team has a chance to score on.

So this is proof that C. Lee can't defend as much as everyone is saying he can. I also think that AB is hurt by the non extension, he probably feels like they will replace him and it's effecting his play. I am ready to trade lowry, have Ish start and have AB sit on the bench as the sixth man, just for the sake of defense, good ball handling and passing. We got Scola lighting it up most nights and Martin will catch fire every other game. If we have a scoring problem on a particular night we can bring Brooks off the bench.

Kyle Lowry for Gerald Wallace anyone? The Bobcats have had a tough start and we odviously need a better starting small forward, so Shane and Lowry for Wallace, make it happen Morey!!
