Michael C. WrightESPN Staff Writer Amazing to think that the Spurs haven't won a road game since February 25. If the Spurs drop this one in New Orleans, they will have lost 8 consecutive road games, and 11 out of their last 13 outside the friendly confines of the AT&T Center. San Antonio will have to start out on the road against a high seed in the postseason, which is a scary prospect given this team's road woes. The last time the Spurs dropped eight straight on the road was 1997.
Yep, i was also just looking at the potential match ups again and realized there's just no chance we meet Denver at this point, not that i would've been somewhat scared, just a bit annoyed of playing a couple of games in Denver, in terms of talent Minnie is maybe a bit better, but i still think Denver plays a bit better so yeah, i'm ok with the Wolves all things considered, with the Spurs too, they just don't win on the road...they have a great record at home but i think we should be able to handle them in San Antonio with their current roster.
i would say essentially nothing he could do the way the voting tends to work against previous winners. he'll be held to the standard of this season and our record this season and neither is likely to improve (scoring title, 3rd in assists, greatest isolation season in history). in some ways, finishing 2nd in previous years has probably allowed him to stay in the mvp race the last 2 years in ways he might have been an afterthought without the "he hasn't won" narrative (not that he wasn't deserving). you need lebron '12-'13, curry '15-'16 seasons where the voters just don't have a choice to get another mvp. and let's face it, the voters don't like harden already so who knows if that would get it done.
Ladie and Gentlemen, your 2018 MVP. He averaged another Tripble Double so he deserve MVP even though he doesn't make his team better. That's the reason they gave him MVP last year, so stupid voter will do the same thing this year
LOL. Pushed Melo out of the way and Melo 's is like "WTF. Guess that's the way it is here. I ain't big dawg no's more"
Doris Burke on ESPN really sounds somber talking about Wstbrook and the triple double average.. Doris loves Westbrook.
the spurs on the road are like the thunder with shooting. i feel like we'd be relying on them to suck for no apparent reason rather than them just not having talent. the spurs guard harden well, the refs fall for their "hands up" tactics and think they can't foul at all, i don't trust patty mills to not make 5 3's a game, and you know manu will make plays. i want minny with their lack of D and lack of 3's.
When talking about MVP: Doris Burke - "It pains me to say it, but it's Harden." LMAO!!! I used to love DB. man.. I thought she was one of the more knowledgeable people on ESPN. It shouldn't be painful to say Harden is the MVP.
To be fair, Doris did try to clean it up and walk back from the, "it pains me to say, Harden", but she said it first. I refuse to believe it was a slip of the tongue.
are the thunder trying to lose this game? only up 12 with a quarter to go. and are our playoffs really going to be ruined by jokic going absolutely crazy? a guy who almost has to be told to score more is just knocking in contested jumpers like even great shooters rarely do.
