Anyone ever have? Symptoms, treatment? This thing is recurring (if that's, indeed, what it is) and it sucks.
I had to look this up because I didn't really know what it was. Turns out, I've had it for most of my life, and it got worse as I got older. It compounds itself. What helps me: Daily stretching & exercise (I got some of this from an Airrosti therapist) Fixing my desk/pc ergonomics Fixing my posture Fixing my breathing Focusing on my form during exercise Better diet, including cutting out red meat and alcohol Essentially it's being more healthy. This is your body telling you to get your **** together.
Yeah, if you do office work, add some alarms to do stretching and yoga. Back and core exercises are good as well as some calisthenics you can find online. A foam roller is great for post work stretching. There are even some exercises you can do on your bed. But if your pain sensitivity is beyond it, I'd recommend getting approval for a physical therapist. You might feel dopey at first, but it's because your muscle strength is uneven that some areas need to be reincorporated with your body and you'll also get an idea which muscle groups you're stressing or overusing during your daily routine.
