Folks do not give enough credit to MDA. He alone nearly doubled Harden's assist rate. Of course Harden worked hard during summer too but the man should be honored.
Game winners and triple doubles, what do you expect? Harden had plenty of opportunity, but Westbrook delivered in the clutch, that sealed it. Barring unlikely Harden heroics, it's finally over.
Harden's numbers have not been done since Oscars MVP season either,in which he missed triple double (short on rebounds) and won a lot more games. Sounds like Harden?
Yep, Harden's numbers are no worse than Westbrook's overall, but people are stupid, and don't understand math, and are mesmerized by seeing two digits under all of Westbrook's box score numbers... He's been stat chasing like a mad man for the past several games, and as a result, the team was two possessions away from being on a five-game losing streak before tonight, despite three of those games being against lottery teams that had nothing to play for.
The playoffs are right around the corner. I'm finding it difficult to give a **** about this award right now.
I remember when the media fawned over Curry not even playing in the clutch. Good times. Harden had plenty of moments. They just were only given a fraction of the publicity/attention.
I am excited for the playoffs and seeing how far Rockets can go. At this point, ain't giving too many ***** about the MVP. Waste of time and energy.
