Didn't get many albums this year.

    Weezer - The Red Album
Ben Folds - Way To Normal
    AC/DC - Black Ice

I'll have to check out this Bon Iver everyone keeps talking about.

There are still a lot of albums from '08 that I haven't gotten a chance to listen to, so take this list with a grain of salt. It is by no means definitive. These are just some of my favorites that come to mind (in no particular order):

    1. M83 - Saturdays = Youth
    2. Deerhunter - Microcastle/Weird Era Cont.
    3. Spiritualized - Songs in A&E
    4. Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago (definitely counts for '08, imo)
    5. Max Tundra - Parallax Error Beheads You
    6. No Age - Nouns
    7. Atlas Sound - Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel
    8. TV on the Radio - Dear Science
    9. Department of Eagles - In Ear Park
    10. Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

I really need to update my iPod and organize my music collection this weekend, especially before my trip to NYC so I have not-so-dated tunes to listen to on the flight. :)

Are you kidding me? :p I'm a girl who would rather sit at home on the weekends playing Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty: World at War, or Rock Band 2 than go out.

I feel actually pretty out of touch with current music, but I plan on remedying that.

I'm terribly disappointed that I missed the show. I really wanted to go, but my boyfriend had a bunch of grad school stuff going on, so it just wasn't going to happen. And I didn't really feel like going solo.

    Axl Rose - Chinese Democracy

That's the only thing new I've gotten this year.

I'm sure Weezer, Butch Walker and Eagles of Death Metal would all be up there also if I had them yet.

    Fleet Foxes
Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely
Greg Laswell - Three Flights from Alto Nido
    and..........
    A Colbert Christmas!!!

Not a lot that grabbed my attention this year. Also upon early listens I don't like the new Killers' album.

The Kings of Leon new one isn't very good.

    T.I.- Paper Trail

    was a really good album.

Coldplay disappointed me a little, but then again, their last great album was A Rush of Blood to the Head.

Admittedly, this CD probably sounds more familiar to me than it might to younger ears since I'm from that era. It was like putting on comfortable old shoes. (hint: burn one ... listen to Crystal River again)

But, TV on the Radio, Dear Science was a close #2, so I'm still hip aren't I?
