Looks like it won't be rated R The writing is awful; written by the writer of 50 Shades of Grey Rizi doesn't seem like a good fit for the evil villian
I am a bit apprehensive about this movie. One had Tom Hardy is a great choice, but at least from the trailers it seems the symbiote does not come in contact first with Peter Parker so how does Venom get his look and all without that initial absorption? Also maybe its just me and hoping they work on the CGI, but Venom in that trailer just looks really bad. As much as I really like Venom as a character I feel he is going to have a hard time translating to the big screen. Especially if they insist on Venom having a "gooey" symbiote looking skin. I'll see it this fall, but not expecting anything at all especially after the recent handling of Spiderman by just Sony (not counting the MCU Spiderman) were not very good.
Thats not what hes asking? Hes questioning the power of the symbiote spawning from his body and how far, to be used as a weapon. This is a better example for his query:
So hes gonna be fighting other test subject symbiotes? I think Im in on this one. My guess is Venom gets too powerful, goes on a rampage and Spidey makes a guest appearance at the very end.
Marvel might have sealed DCs fate in the box office with a movie thats darker and a whole lot more entertaining.
I am hearing Venom will fight RIOT - in the comics this is like The Original Symbiote's Grandson (an off spring of Carnage I think) Carnage maybe the next movie Rocket River
Is anyone actually excited about this movie? I’m just sitting here waiting patiently for Infinity War Pt. 2
I appreciate the idea of developing a villain as the main character with little to no redeeming quality. Outside of the mob movies, this is rarely achieved, so I'm interested to see if Marvel can pull it off without banking on the critter as rootable. American Psycho certainly qualifies. A few others. But not all that common. My only thing is that we know Venom can be defeated by a tuning fork. So how hard is this.
