I think it's BS, i'll still watch the movie though..
I'm pretty sure it's just a marketing ploy http://www.examiner.com/x-22738-New...009m9d5-The-real-story-behind-The-Fourth-Kind
Probably all BS, yes? When I try to shoot down alien abduction with Occam's razor, I kind of run into a little problem though. If we somehow were able to visit another habitable planet, in another system, what would we be most interest in? (1) The life that existed there (2) natural resources As for (1), how do we study other species now? I'm NOT an animal rights activist, but let's just say the way we study other species is not pretty. We abduct, vivisect, probe, grind up, wire, ablate, etc. And of all life on this newly found hypothetical world, we would be most interested in the most dominant species or any species that was really developing its own technology and even space travel. So... if aliens find Earth, and if aliens are anything like us, they would probably try to abduct a human or two to analyze. I'm just sayin' ...

Oh, great, professor. Are you lining up your group for their next visit through the comet's tail? Also...that's no moon.
Interesting concept. Hopefully this and Paranormal Activity can get us out the era of horror movies that came out after "The Ring."
