Warner Bros. Pictures has premiered the first official trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic “Dune: Part Two” – the release coming exactly six months out from the film’s release on November 3rd and follows in the wake of the first poster reveal yesterday. The sprawling tale adapts the back half of Frank Herbert’s classic 1965 novel and wrapped filming in mid-December. The story sees Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) and Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) teaming with the desert-dwelling Fremen to liberate the planet of Arrakis from the vicious House Harkonnen. Zendaya, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, Stellan Skarsgard, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem all reprise their roles from the first film. They are joined by Austin Butler as the lethal Feyd-Rautha, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Lea Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV. Tim Blake Nelson also has a role. The first film opened simultaneously in domestic theaters and on HBO Max on October 22nd 2021. It grossed $400.6 million at the worldwide box office and earned ten Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. Villeneuve is directing from a script he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts. Mary Parent, Villeneuve, Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick are producing. https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-...sXSveugOFI8Xb7A9MadOgMuW8_17uhnZ8pmWECb9UdPbg
Gonna be great. I very much enjoyed the first film, even though I was skeptical about Chalamet (who did an excellent job).
The cast for this movie is incredible. I don't know that there will be more movies beyond this one (I hope), but I'm so glad at the very least we got these two. Incredibly excited for this.
I'll watch it in the theatres even if it's hot garbage just for the chance of them making more. Villeneuve did a great job making something coherent with the first one so there's that
I really enjoyed the first one. Second one seems like the plot maybe slower, I'm not familiar with the books. Cast seems great and I really enjoy Tim Blake Nelson so I'm glad he has a role.
Loved the first one, especially in the theater. This is one series of films worth seeing on the big screen with the best available sound.
The 2nd half of the book is slower but contains more material building the Dune-verse. Rumor has it the last hour of the movie will be action. In the book, this was a very small segment and most of the action happened in the back ground.
Dune the book was segmented into 3 parts. For the movie, Dune Part 1 covers roughly the first half of the book, Dune Part 2 covers the second half. Dune Part 3 will cover the 2nd book of the series, "Children of Dune". This trilogy should cover the life of Paul and the rise to power of his children.
Would love to see SpiderMan travel through multiverse to save Mary Jane in third installment. Chalamet trying to steal Holland’s girl.
