Couple days ago I got out of my music bubble and checked out some older rap music. I started listening MF DOOM on pandora and fell in love with his music. I have been jamming it for 3 straight days and I am amazed how he isn't more popular. Who is your most underrated rapper? I think Doom may be my favorite now
Mos Def & Talib Kweli really are amazing, if you call yourself a rap fan you have to check them out! This is real hip hop!
Good pick breh. Don't know about underrated though, they are legends in my book. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/EuJaStSL0xM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I agree they deserve to be considered legends but I'm always surprised by how many people have never even heard of them. "I find it's distressing, there's never no in-between We either n****s or Kings, we either b*****s or Queens The deadly ritual seems immersed, in the perverse Full of short attention spans, short tempers, and short skirts Long barrel automatics released in short bursts" -Mos Def
Um, I'm not sure. There quite a lot of rappers who are good but don't get the credit they need. The ones I can think are MF Doom, Mos Def, Talib Kweli... However, some upcoming ones with a lot of promise Logic, Chance the Rapper
MF Doom. Childish Gambino is getting there, but still a little underappreciated. Chance is coming up fast, which is awesome. Acid Rap was amazing and I can't wait for his next project, whatever it may be.
Phonte of the defunct Little Brother <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/HH9vR_iJOqU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> i really wish Little Brother would have hit bigger because phonte said straight up he only makes music for income and since he made more money singing he focuses most of his efforts on The Foreign Exchange. phonte might be one of the nicest MC's you never heard of..
