I think I'd rather just have a guard or small forward shoot the 17 footers. Let the power forward take care of high percentage in-the-paint shooting, REBOUNDING and DEFENSE. Is it just me? GET RID OF HIM!!!!

He's an interesting player, but I wasn't impressed enough to want him clogging up cap space for the next few years. Can I get an Amen?????

No, you can NOT get an "amen". Mo did a great job, and he should be priority number 2, behind the tie between signing Webber and Hakeem.

The reason our PF needs to be able to shoot jumpers is that this drags the opposing PF (in the west, this is often the team's best shot blocker) out of the paint. That opens the driving lanes for our guards, which is the core of the offense.

The end is near...I actually agree with ZRB.

Give ZRB a break... The guy is a funny as hell poster and he doesn't say anything that is coming out of his ass...

Sure he's not as positive as you would like, but he is able to give reasons as to why the Rockets aren't doing well...

Uh, I thought I just said I agreed with him. You're right though, I need to cut him some slack. It is harsh of me to agree with him.

They were just having fun, Kidrock. No harm done. Thanks for your quick defense, though. This time, I didn't need it, but thanks anyway.

His outside shot is very sweet. It pulls the big man out of the paint which is very good for the outside-in style we play now. But his lack of rebounding just hurts too much. Is it really impossible to have a jump-shooting, rebounding power forward? Webber will also do nicely in a pinch.

If you don't want your PF shooting 17 foot jump shots, then you will hate Webber. He takes 10 of those shots a game.

Hits them too! Great! But he also becomes a monster and grabs 10-15 rebounds a night. Mo pulls down 4 in 24 mins in the loss to Dallas. Let him go. That's always been his knock and it didn't change this year even with all the talk and supposed dedication to being more physical. Big disappointment.

Actually I kind of agree with fromobile. As good an offensive player Mo is\can be, I just can't forgive his weak rebounding. Ideally, he would be an offensive spark off the bench given his ability to start strong only to taper off as the game goes along.

And if he's looking to get a big, long-term, Catoesque contract, then I say...

GOOD LUCK IN (ORLANDO, DETROIT, SEATTLE, wherever) NEXT YEAR!!!

They already have 1 (UNBELIEVABLY) over-paid "big man" [IMG] on the roster. And I'm holding out hope that "Cato" is on the back of another jersey come next season, and that there will be 0 over-paid "big men" on next year's team.

I think the reason Mo starts strong and then tapers off is that Rudy wants to establish the threat of his jumper early so that the PF will be sure to guard him. Once that's established, Mobley can take it inside and have the PF afraid to leave his man. It's not like he's not contributing at the end -- he contributes by being a jump shooting threat even when he doesn't shoot.
