I wasn't surprised. Although it shocked me when Buss kept supporting this guy and he kept saying how he wasn't worried then all of a sudden, BAM! Fired!
When you have star players (Kobe) and ownership going out of their way to voice support for a coach, when reading between the lines, it means that his job is in serious jeopardy and those parties are trying to distance themselves from any responsibility in the fallout. That said, all reports from this morning said that Brown's could be fired, not that he was. How reliable is this source?
Never mind, major news sources are picking this up now. Dude has been canned. How will we ever make Mr. Potato Head jokes now??
I think it's legit. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>"Mike just called saying he was relieved of his duties," agent Warren LeGarie tells Y! Sports about the ex-Lakers coach.</p>— Marc J. Would rep you if possible. Adelman and Shaw were both better options, not the "give the ball to LeBron, get out of the way" guy whose biggest plus was that he could say the right things in an interview.
