Melo said he wasn't going to play different so this was predictable. There were some skeptics and they were right, it's all 3 guys who need the ball though there's plenty of time to gel.
Melo's 26 shots is a lot. I am skeptical OKC will be able to find the "right balance" of shots for RW/PG/Melo. And really Adams needs looks inside as well. This doesn't mean that Melo can't work. But that OKC/Utah box score is the worst case scenario for them.
If Melo won't play different, it will be a very disappointing year in OKC. I think WB and PG will be fine with each other because PG has no problem being deferential and acknowledging WB as the unquestioned alpha dog (at least for one season). Melo must join the party and also humbly kiss WB's ring or it ain't gonna come close to working. Their whole success rides on Olympic Melo showing up and admitting he has more talented teammates.
Then every above average NBA player who is in a contract year can be associated with being a cancer. Lol.
Shaq/Kobe seemed to max out around 21 ***** per game. Thats without a third star James/Wade/Bosh were at around 19/18/14 Durant/Curry/Klay went 19/17/16 So far Melo/PG/Russ are at 23/21/11 That’s what they have to fix. Bad balance. Melo should be last.
Me too. I bench press over 400. But I'm not the one pretending to be a chick on clutchfans. You have an ugly way of speaking about our team. Not sexist to point that out. I'm a girl
Yep. Melo is the biggest threat to the chemistry for OKC. He takes his shots, that's it. It really is hard for me to imagine Melo not taking his shots, just how he plays. I think Olympic Melo is a myth, when it comes to the NBA at least. It's easy to be a teammate then, no stats are on the line, winning the gold is all that matters, most players are just humbled in wearing the jersey.
This makes me ok with not getting him. I am sure MDA would have already benched him for such numbers.
